Located in the southern peninsula of Malaysia, Johor Bahru is the capital city of the state of Johor. With a range of theme parks and attractions, it's easy to start loving the place. Here are some ways to get around the city and some of its attractions.

Public transport
Public bus is a great option and is conveniently available from the Johor Bahur Central Bus Terminal. The bus terminal is just 5 minutes’ walk away from the Johor Bahru Immigration Complex (CIQ). There is a bus schedule available to help you find the one you require to get around in Johor Bahur. It is made available at the bus station and online.
Grab & Uber will be both available from the Johor Central Immigration. Pickups can be organised from City Square. This will be from the opposite side of the Immigration Complex. Make sure you have a good phone internet data package to access these services.
Taxi will be widely available as well. They will be available from the Johor Central Immigration Complex, and from the taxi stand at City Square.
How to get to the Shopping malls
If visiting the Johar Bahru City Centre and if you are coming from the woodlands area, the City Square will be just a few blocks away from the Immigration. Once immigration is sorted take the overhead bridge to get into the city square.
A popular shopping mall is the Komtar JBCC Shopping Mall and is found opposite the Immigration Complex and in the middle of the city.
Getting to the KSL City Mall is also easy. It is situated just a short distance away from the Immigration Complex. To get there, however, you will be required to take a taxi or bus. Take Bus S1 from the Central Bus Terminal, which is next to the Immigration. Bus S1 is a loop service that will take you to several destinations. It services Danga City Mall, KSL City, Holiday Plaza, Plaza Pelangi, before returning to the central bus station.
Paradigm Mall happens to be the largest regional shopping centre in Johar. It is found in the centre of the Skudai district. The complex spreads across seven floors and has 1.3 million square feet in space. The Paradigm Mall Johor is massive! It is sure to be shopping heaven for shopaholics! One of the easiest ways to get there is to grab a taxi or an Uber. If you decide to take the bus take Bus JPO1 from the John Central Bus Terminal through the Woodlands Checkpoint. This bus will travel to the Bus Terminal and from there to Paradigm Mall. The route will pass Giant Tampoi on the right side, next to Kipmart Tampoi towards the left. After you pass this sign keep an eye out for the sign of the mall on the right side, it will not be hard to miss.
Get around theme parks
To get to Legoland Malaysia Resort if using public transport, you can take a bus from the Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints. If you are coming down from Singapore, get to either checkpoint and get a bus from there. If boarding from the Woodlands checkpoint you can board the Bus LM1 from the Johar Bahur Central Bus terminal. If coming from the Tuas Checkpoint catch the Bus JPO 2 from CIQ Second Link.
Getting to the Angry Birds Activity Park found inside Komtar JBCC is pretty easy. It is located opposite the Johor Central Immigration next to the central city.
